Loretta Jackson-Williams Appointed Chair-Elect of MESL Community

Dr. Loretta Jackson-Williams, vice dean for Medical Education, was appointed the chair-elect for the Medical Education Senior Leaders (MESL) Community. MESL is an AAMC-convened community whose focus is the continuing improvement of education in the nation's medical schools.

Prior to this appointment, Dr. Jackson-Williams has been a dedicated member of the MESL community bringing a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to advancing medical education. She has served on the MESL steering committee since 2022.

As chair-elect, Dr. Jackson-Williams will work closely with the MESL steering committee and the current chair, current MESL leadership, and AAMC staff, to ensure continuity in our efforts and to support the strategic priorities of our community. Her role will be crucial in steering ongoing projects. The current MESL chair is Dr. Richard Baker, Senior Vice Dean of Medical Education at Wayne State University School of Medicine.
